Dallas, Texas Employee Injured on the Job

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

There is much uncertainty when trying to recover from workplace injuries. Is workers’ compensation going to be enough? Was it your fault? Are you going to lose your job? What help, if any, will you receive if you ultimately suffer from long-term medical problems? These are likely just a few of the questions running through your mind right now, and I can help you find the answers.

Workplace injuries are complicated and require an experienced attorney on the case. There are many contributing factors to an accident, and I have the experience to get to the root cause. I have seen of employers making the victim feel as though the accident was their fault. You have already been a victim once; do not allow them to make you a victim again. Let me expose those who were negligent and caused your injuries.

As bills start to accumulate and desperation sets in, you may be tempted to accept a settlement offer. Contact a lawyer before you a agree to any settlement offered. Your attorney will review your circumstances and let you know if you have a case. In my 25 years of experience, I’ve seen employers, insurance companies and other lawyers try all types of intimidation factors. Don’t back down. Fight all the way to trial if I have to.

Wrongful Death Suit Filed For Deer Hunting Death

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

The wife of a Bucks County, Pennsylvania man who was killed on the first day of deer hunting season in 2010 has hired a wrongful death lawyer to sue the shooter, lawyer David Manilla. According to the suit, after shooting the victim Mr. Manilla offered no medical assistance, allowed 40 minutes to pass before calling 911, and waited 17 days before informing police that he had fired the fatal shot. During those 17 days, Mr. Manilla illegally tried to hide his financial and real estate assets by transferring ownership of these holdings to his mother and sister. Mr. Manilla did so because, as a lawyer, he knows that his wrongful and negligent actions played a direct role in the man’s death. If he had acted appropriately, it is likely that the victim would be alive today. Therefore, the victim’s wife rightfully hired a wrongful death lawyer to guide her through the legal steps necessary to seek justice and compensation for her emotional and financial losses.

Have you lost a family member due to another person’s negligence? If so, a wrongful death lawyer can assist you in seeking the compensation that you deserve. The family of a deceased individual can file a claim if their loved one died as a result of another person’s wrongful or negligent acts. If the court finds that the defendant is indeed responsible for the death of your loved one, then you will likely be awarded  financial compensation.

Dallas Woman Recovers For Slip And Fall Knee Injury

Friday, March 4th, 2011

Slip and falls accidents often result in catastrophic injuries and require the help of a good lawyer. The harsh truth is that people slip and fall in places they least expect and in ways they expect even less. There is no timing on such accidents and injuries can sometimes be very serious, causing not just pain but making day to day activities difficult. Many times  slip and fall accidents occur inside an establishment that is liable for the safety of its patrons. When that establishment has not taken the proper steps to ensure this safety, their negligence can result in an accident that requires further investigation.

One such case occurred in the fall of 2010 in Dallas, Texas in which a woman was injured in a supermarket. The claim was that the clerk was handing this customer a bag, but then it slipped and the claimant went to try and catch it while simultaneously holding herself up using the credit card machine. The credit card machine failed to sustain her grasp and subsequently collapsed, forcing the claimant to slip and fall. She sustained some fairly serious injuries due to the accident and was able to win $67,371 because the store new that the screws on the machine had been missing for over a week.

If you have had an accident and need the help of a personal injury attorney, I can help you get the compensation you deserve. Call me today at (713) 861-9966 or to fill out the “Tell Me About Your Case” form on my homepage for a free consultation.

Toyota Settles Wrongful Death Suit Related Fatal Car Crash

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

As evidence was uncovered by the efforts of a wrongful death lawyer, a settlement was reached with Toyota Motor Corporation for the surviving family members in a horrific high speed accident where Officer Saylor attempted, in vain to solve the problem of the sticking accelerator in his Toyota that caused his and his family’s death. His lawyer was tasked with tying together the research and evidence from the police reports and other investigative reports that revealed the actual cause of the car accident.

I know what it takes to find what really leads to any accident where parties lose their lives. Proper due diligence will increase your chances of getting a fair settlement. My work to get all the facts can significantly increase the amount of a settlement as well. My work as a wrongful death lawyer often does involve settlements with companies and individuals where large sums of money could be awarded. Of course there is no value that can be placed on a human life, still the harm, loss, and damages can be assessed and should be charged against parties that are responsible for such harm, loss or damages.

If you have been wronged by a party that has caused a death in your family, I can assist you in finding out exactly what the facts are and hold the responsible parties to account for their actions. Any party that is negligent or incompetent in the performance of their job or in the operation of a vehicle that results in a death should be held responsible. Hospital Cameras Can Save Your Medical Malpractice Case

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

New technology, like cameras in delivery rooms, provides patients the tools to protect their rights and enables a medical malpractice lawyer to bring successful litigation against negligent doctors and hospitals. Cameras in delivery and emergency rooms are an asset to patients, as they can often allow for video confirmation of medical events that unfold during an emergency. Though you may be uncomfortable have your procedure filmed, hospital cameras provide counter evidence against doctors, nurses and hospital staff in the event that a medical malpractice lawyer brings charges against a hospital. While cameras can sometimes capture tense events that could be misunderstood as emergencies, when a crisis does happen having documentary evidence can protect the full rights of all parties involved.

Doctors, especially obstetricians and gynecologists who need to make snap decisions in situations that could get out of hand quickly, have voiced concern about having procedures misunderstood. Birth complications and birth defects related to medical emergencies are heartbreaking, and new parents especially need to have answers about what happened during their delivery. New technologies enable lawers to sift through the chain of events and determine the level of accountability to assign to the medical staff.

If you have been a victim of delivery room medical malpractice, call me at (713) 861-9966, or visit our website at www.hippardlaw.com and fill out the “Tell Me About Your Case” form on our homepage. Help is one step away.
